If you feel as if there are never enough hours in the day to get everything done, it’s time to take a step back and assess how you can better manage your time. A few simple changes could make a world of difference – freeing up your time to do more of the things you really enjoy. Apply these practical time-management tips to get your life back on track: 1. Get a diary You would be amazed at the difference the use of a diary can make. By diarising your meetings and deadlines, you can keep tabs on your daily commitments and prepare accordingly – no more nasty, last-minute surprises. If paper is too last-century for you, there are plenty of cool calendar and daily planner apps for your smartphone and PC that will help streamline your day by setting up events, saving to-do lists and sending you timeous reminders so that you’ll never be late again. 2. Can a Divorced Man Pastor a Church? ...by Pastor Philip Ayers Can a divorced man pastor a church? This is a greatly debated issue among conservative believers. Those of you who know me realize I am very conservative in my doctrine and Biblical interpretation. However, I do interpret the Bible differently from other Conservatives when considering the allowing of divorced men to pastor. Most believe that a divorced man cannot serve as a pastor or in a leadership role within the local church. First Timothy 3 lists the qualifications for bishops (pastors, elders). The controversial second verse says, "The husband of one wife." Many believe this means literally one wife or never have been divorced. Others suggest it refers to bigamy or one wife at a time. Some teach it means a man must be married in order to serve, thus removing single men from any opportunity of leadership service. These interpretations lead to many other problems. What about a man who pr...

WHAT SHALL WE DO? When we can no longer differentiate a church from a social gathering, and all what people do in church is to just have fun. When we can’t differentiate a choir from a harlot, and an usher is not different from a waiter. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When worship session in a church is just like a disco night and we cant differentiate a pastor from a comedian. When salvation & Sanctification messages become old school & scarce. the order of the day & core course are miracles, prosperity and entertainment message. When the church is no more conducive where shall we go? When prayer warrior now have to go to tongue-speaking school for utterances, and deliverance and healing session is now like MTH 201 to be taught and learned with the presence of The Holy Spirit & Holiness. When pastor have to pause for members to clap and shout during sermon in enthusiasm, and ...

Mary was in love. He was sweet, fun to be around and so cute! One Saturday afternoon, while both parents were away they relaxed in Mary’s bedroom watching TV. Soon, the television was forgotten as they found themselves locked in a passionate embrace. It seemed only natural to express their love in a physical way. The parents returned home discovering them both in bed. After the boyfriend left, the heated argument began. “What’s the big deal?” asked Mary. “I really love him! Everyone else is doing it!” The parents honestly didn’t know how to argue with her except to say that it was wrong. What would you say? How do we help our youth grow up with morals and values? John and a friend discovered it on Dad’s computer through his Internet connection: pornography. The perversions that once were available only in seedy bookstores could now be accessed for free over the World Wide Web. Every day after ...

I’ve learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I’ve learned- that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back. I’ve learned- that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I’ve learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I’ve learned- that it’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts. I’ve learned- that you should never ruin an apology with an excuse. I’ve learned- that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you’d better know something. I’ve learned- that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others can do. I’ve learned- that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I’ve learned- that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want...

I am thankful for the grace given me to write you on this inexhaustible subject. I will write a 'modest' epistle and trust God that it would bring forth a good harvest of peace and joy. One truth the Lord wants us to have is that God is love and he loves us. Jesus said, 'for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' John 3:16. God's kind of love gives eternal life to those who receive him. God's love makes man to come up to his kind of living and dominion. David said concerning this, 'What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet.' Psalm 8:4-6. This is what the love of God does to anyone who is in God. It makes them rulers over the works of the...

Learning how to live a maximized singlehood and to build a relationship that will culminate to a healthy marriage that is heaven on earth from a biblical practical approach. The Bible says that, “a man who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22. But we must understand that the finding is a process and it is a serious task. This process involves seeking and elimination. It takes time and energy. Ignorance of what this process involves is what makes many singles sad and discouraged or rush into mis-matched marriages. The truth is, finding just any type of life partner is easy; you can pick anyone off the street and go to the altar with him/her. But the heart-breaks and rejections from failed relationships are not easy at all. If you must find that one who would do you good, that one who is tailor- made by God to fit you, then you must invest time, ...

1. The Bitter Woman: You know that woman that always seems to be angry at the menfolk all the time? Perhaps she has had her heart broken one too many times, but this woman is always bashing on men and talking about how they are no-good or useless. A man might not want to settle down with someone so bitter as it is guaranteed that when the opportunity arises, she would hurl hurtful insults and intense, hateful words his way due to all her unresolved anger. 2. The Selfish Woman: If you want a happy home and a partner that wants your happiness as well as hers, then you should steer clear of the selfish woman. A woman who is determined to make sure she always comes first would not be able to build a cheerful and loving home with you. 3. The Materialistic Woman : A woman obsessed with material things would certainly not make the best wife. If all she cares about are material possession over family, faith and spiritual fulfillment, then she will not make the best partner. ...

Singles make up a big percentage of any given church, and pastors spend a lot of time teaching about marriage and parenting. But how do you actually find the right person to marry? You won't hear much teaching about dating in most churches. It's like we're afraid to touch the subject—so people just feel their way in the dark and figure out romance on their own. Our awkwardness about this topic is one reason single Christians make so many relationship blunders—and why many marriages start out on the wrong foot. I asked some of my single friends and one of my daughters to help me compile this list of most common dating mistakes. Here are the Top 10: 1. Being desperate for a relationship. Some singles freak out when they hit age 25. They stop trusting God and begin a nail-biting search for a mate. My friend Nicole Doyley, author of The Wait , says she knows women who are so frantic about finding Prince Charming that they immediately fall for any guy who asks th...

Your spiritual compatibility will influence the quality of your future marriage more than any other factor. Note: Each year, thousands of pastors and counselors use. Preparing for Marriage as the foundation of their pre-marriage training for engaged couples. Preparing for Marriage was recently revised and updated, and the following excerpt addresses a subject that many couples do not adequately discuss before they are married. No other human relationship will play a more important role in shaping your life than your relationship with your spouse. And yet many pre-married couples make the crucial decisions about marriage when their minds are clouded with such powerful emotions that they find it difficult to think straight. They are so caught up in the whirlwind of romance that they fail to work out some crucial issues before they commit their lives to each other. For a Christian, the most important of these issues is spiritual compatibility...
